This is the map of Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania, home to many factories throughout the state, was the leading producer of crucial resources needed to win the war, such as coal and steel. Many citizens of Pennsylvania worked in these factories, while others collected any scraps they could find, such as metal and rubber tires, to donate to the cause.

Pennsylvania was America's leader in steel production during WWII. The steel mills supplied the United States military with a wide range of necessary war supplies including bomb casings, armor-piercing shells, gun forgings, airplane parts, and warships. The large engines on Navy warships were constructed, in large part, by Bethlehem Steel.

People of all ages took part in the Homefront effort, ranging from children to older Pennsylvanians. Recruits from Pennsylvania were described as "eager" and "spirited" in regards to the war effort.

Military bases in Pennsylvania include the Carlisle Barracks, Fort Indiantown Gap, Harrisburg Military Post, Letterkenny Army Depot, the New Cumberland Army Depot and more. Over 300,000 Pennsylvanian men enlisted into the U.S. Army during WWII.
