His great sacrifice shall continue to be remembered by his family and others. And his legacy will live on forever and not be forgotten. William Conrad, thank you for your service. 

William M. Conrad received the Purple Heart which is a US military award that is given to a US soldier that was wounded or killed after April 5th, 1917 while serving. It is mean to honor the greatest sacrifice that a soldier can give, his life.

William Conrad was buried at Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial. Buried at: Plot B Row 14 Grave 7 Normandy American Cemetery Coleville-sur-Mer, France.
